John "Jeb" Backus - Backus racked up a list of accomplishments during his three-year baseball career at Flagler. The 1987 graduate was named NAIA Honorable Mention All-American and was selected on the All-district and All-area teams that same year. Backus was also the District 25 tournament Most Valuable Player when the Saints won the district championship. Today, Backus is the Director of Operations and Chief Operating Officer of the YMCA in Norwalk, Conn.
