Flagler College Athletics

Barnett is in his 29^th year as the head coach of the Flagler baseball team. His overall record going into this weekend is 856-690. Barnett is among the top 12 active coaches in NCAA Division II for wins. In his tenure as a coach at Flagler, Barnett has seen 37 of his players sign professional contracts and has had three players drafted within the first 10 rounds. From 1994-2009, he served as the director of athletics and helped transition the department from NAIA to NCAA Division II. Flagler also started the women’s golf, women’s soccer and softball programs while he was the director of athletics. In 2001, Barnett was selected as the NAIA Region XIV Athletics Director of the Year. Flagler also won two Florida Sun Conference Commissioner’s Cups.
