Bowrosen was a four-year starter at shortstop for the Saints. The former walk-on was a two-time All-District 25 selection. He had a career batting average of .333 with 62 doubles, 28 home runs, 165 runs batted in and 134 runs scored. He also walked 95 times and tallied 286 assists. In 1987, he was named to the District 25 All-Tournament Team and earned Defensive Player of the Tournament honors, despite have four broken bones in foot. Bowrosen also excelled in the classroom having been named to the Dean’s List three times. He graduated from Flagler with a bachelor’s in business administration with a minor in recreation management. Dean and his wife, Tammy, reside in Sound Beach, N.Y., with there two children, Jake and Kevin.
