Pauline Tainton of the women's golf team was selected as the recipient of the Total Package Award, sponsored by Anastasia Fitness, for the 2018 fall sports season.
The award is presented on a seasonal basis to the student-athlete who excels in each of the following: athletics, academics, character, sportsmanship, personal fitness and community involvement.
“I’m very excited to see Pauline being recognized with this prestigious award," said director of golf Santiago Cavanagh. "She is truly deserving and exemplifies what the total package is. Her continued dedication to the team, her studies and the community are a model for others to follow.“
Tainton is ranked second in the PBC in scoring average (73.9) this fall, just .three strokes behind, and she is tied for first in the semester for the lowest round in the conference. She was selected as PBC player of the week three-out-of-the-four weeks she competed and she would have had the fourth one, but the last week there were not enough PBC teams competing to be able to earn it. She has an approximate 3.6 grade point average. Tainton has been a leader during our workout times and she has done additional weekly workouts. She always brings a positive and mature attitude to the course, classrooms, trips and training. Tainton has done two community services events this semester and we have plan to do a couple more next semester.
