Mackenzie Conley of the softball team was selected as the recipient of the Total Package Award, sponsored by Anastasia Fitness, for the 2017 spring sports season.
The award is presented on a seasonal basis to the student-athlete who excels in each of the following: athletics, academics, character, sportsmanship, personal fitness and community involvement.
“Mackenzie is the total package because she exemplifies what is means to be a student-athlete," said former head softball coach Kristen Overton. "She was a strong student in the classroom and always had a GPA above 3.5.
"She was the captain of the team by title as a senior, but was also an example all four of her years. Throughout her career she was a four-time All-PBC Team selection, PBC All-Academic Honor member and an NFCA scholarship athlete. As a senior Mackenzie was name the softball MVP. Additionally she received the Female Athletic Directors Award and the Presidents’ Award for the Flagler Athletics department. Furthermore, off the field, Mackenzie was an advocate for our team's community service efforts. Dating back to the fall, she did a great job with the Snapchat takeover for the Peach Belt Conference during the Hurricane Matthew cleanup efforts.”
