Tara Savisky of the volleyball team was selected as the recipient of the Total Package Award, sponsored by Anastasia Fitness, for the 2016-17 fall sports season.
The award is presented on a seasonal basis to the student-athlete who excels in each of the following: athletics, academics, character, sportsmanship, personal fitness and community involvement.
"Tara is the consummate "captain" in every aspect of her student-athlete experience," said Matt Affolder, head volleyball coach at Flagler. "She has become a leader among the athletes with her involvement in the SAAC organization, and her leadership on the court for our volleyball program is immeasurable. Tara is the voice that all of the players look to inside the lines for calm, direction and confidence. She works hard at her craft and is always looking for ways to improve. Tara is a tireless worker in the classroom and she is on her way to becoming a great educator through her major course work. She is humble and hungry as a player and is always looking for ways to make others around her thrive."
