Andrea Fernandez of the women's soccer team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending Oct. 1.

Fernandez scored a goal and tallied an assists in No. 11 Flagler's 4-0 win over Georgia College & State University last Saturday. The Pozoblanco. Spain native's goal in the 28th minute broke the program's all-time goals scored record. Fernandez has scored 45 career goals.

Fernandez leads the team with eight goals and 18 points this season.
