Jaizec Lottie of the men's basketball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Dec. 20.
This is his second player of the week award as he was selected on Nov. 22.
Last week, Lottie averaged a team-best 28.5 points per game and made 51.3 percent (20-30) of his shots from the field, including making 13-of-15 from the free throw line.
At the University of South Alabama, the senior from Aurora, Colorado scored a team-high 21 points and dished out four assists in an exhibition loss. Last Saturday at the University of North Florida, Lottie poured in 36 points on 13-of-24 shooting and grabbed seven rebounds. He sank 9-of-11 from the charity stripe. His short jumper broke a 63-all tie and his assist on a Jalen Barr dunk with 23 seconds left preserved Flagler's second win over a NCAA Division I opponent.
For the season, Lottie is averaging 28.3 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. He leads the team with 10 three-pointers and seven steals.
Lottie and the Saints are off until they open Peach Belt Conference play at the University of North Georgia on Jan. 6.
