Chris Metzger of the men's basketball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Jan. 24.

This is his second player of the week award (Dec. 7).

The senior forward from Plantation, Florida, averaged 17.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game and helped the Saints to a 2-0 week. He made 65.2 percent of his shots from the field. Metzger poured in 20 points and grabbed a season-high 10 rebound in Flagler's 87-80 overtime win at UNC Pembroke last Wednesday. 

For the season, Metzger is averaging 12.6 points and a team-high 6.6 rebounds per game. He has also made 69.2 percent of his shots from the field.
