Gedi Juozapaitis of the men's basketball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Feb. 23.
This is his fourth player of the week award this season.
Juozapaitis averaged 27.5 points per game last week as Flagler posted a 1-1 record. He shot 57.6 percent from the field, 47.4 percent from 3-point range, and 80 percent from the free throw line. At Lander, the sophomore from London, England poured in a game-high 28 points on 10-of-19 shooting from the field. In a 99-80 rout at Georgia Southwestern, Juozapaitis supplied 27 points on 9-of-14 shooting from the field and sank six 3-pointers.
He is second in the country in 3-point field goals per game (3.96) and third in 3-pointers made (103). Juozapaitis leads the Peach Belt Conference in 3-pointer made and is second in 3-point field goal percentage. He is second in defensive rebounds (173) and fourth in points (501) and points per game (19.3).
