Jaizec Lottie of the men's basketball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Jan. 17.
This is his third player of the week award (Nov. 22 and Dec. 20).
Lottie helped lead Flagler to a 2-0 week with wins over No. 10 Augusta University and Columbus State University. The senior guard from Aurora, Colorado averaged 26.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game. Lottie scored 21 of his game-high 30 points in the second half in a 70-64 win over Augusta. That was the third time this season he scored 30 or more points in a game. On Saturday at Columbus State, Lottie scored 15 of his game-high 22 points in the second half. He added six rebounds and six assists to his line.
For the season, Lottie is averaging a team-high 24.1 points per game. He also leads the Saints in field goals made, 3-pointers made, free throws made, assists, and steals.
