Eden Schlagenhauf of the women's tennis team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Oct. 25.
The sophomore from Nuertingen, Germany won her three matches at the JHTA October UTR Tournament at Daytona Beach, Florida this weekend and will play for the tournament title this morning against Danel Ashirova of Stetson University. Schlagenhauf won her first two matches in straight sets and then defeated Tess Menten of Stetson 6-2, 5-7, 11-9 in the semifinal round yesterday. She defeated her teammate, Alessandra Traub 6-3 and 6-4 in the quarterfinal round.Â
Schlagenhauf has a 6-1 record this fall in singles play.Â
