Vaughn McCall of the men's basketball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Feb. 17.

McCall averaged a team-best 28.0 points per game while shooting 52.6 percent (20-38) from the field. He drained seven 3-pointers and was a perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line. Against No. 7 USC Aiken, McCall scored a season-high 32 points on 11-of-23 shooting from the field. He scored 39.5 percent of Flagler's points in that game. At Clayton State, McCall scored 11 of his 24 points in the first as he kept the Saints close before the team erupted in the second half to win the game. He made 9-of-15 from the field and grabbed five rebounds.

McCall is sixth in the Peach Belt in free throws made (83), eighth in points per game (16.1), and ninth in points (371).
