Tabitha Odabe of the women's basketball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Dec. 23.
This is the second time this year Odabe has received the weekly award.
The Keystone Heights, Florida native averaged 13.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.5 blocks per game. At No. 16 North Georgia, she scored a team-high 18 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and blocked eight shots. Her final block broke the program's all-time record, which was held by Rachel Brown (2009-13) with 127.
Odabe leads the Peach Belt Conference with 26 blocked shots. She is second in field goal percentage (58.7), fifth in total rebounds (72), sixth in offensive and defensive rebounds as well as rebounds per game (8.0). She is 12th nationally in blocks per game (2.9) and 19th in total block shots.
