Nick Kranick of the baseball team was selected as the TraveLynx Athlete of the Week, for the period ending April 26.
Kranick batted .438 last week helping Flagler to a 2-2 record. He collected seven hits, which included hitting a team-high three home runs, and drove in a team-high seven runs and scored four runs. Kranick boasted a 1.000 slugging percentage and a .571 on-base percentage. He was walked a team-high five times, once intentionally. In the first game Sunday at USC Aiken, Kranick went 2-for-3 with four runs batted in. He hit a three-run home run in the fifth inning. In the second game, he went 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBI. He hit a two-run homer in the third inning.
For the season, Kranick is batting .317 with 38 hits, including 10 doubles, one triple and nine home runs. He is second on the team with 38 RBI and has scored 25 runs. Kranick's .642 slugging percentage leads the team. He is 10th in the Peach Belt Conference in home runs.
