Lauren Rodriguez of the women's cross country team was selected as the TraveLynx Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Sept. 16.

Rodriguez finished in a time of 19:36.84 over the 5K course at the Mountain Dew Invitational last Saturday at Gainesville, Fla. The time was a season-best for her and was the best time posted by a Flagler runner at the Mountain Dew Invite. Rodriguez' time was the sixth-fastest this season, in a 5K, in the Peach Belt Conference. She finished in 41st place in a meet full of Division I runners, the best placement a Flagler runner has ever had.
