Joel Dahlenburg of the men's golf team was selected as the TraveLynx Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Apr. 1.

This is his second player of the week honor of the month (Mar. 18).

Dahlenburg earned medalist honors at the Bearcat Golf Classic which concluded Tuesday. He shot a school record for a 54-hole tournament with a 7-under par 209. Dahlenburg broke Chris Bray’s record of 210 which was set at the Will Wilson Southeast Preview on Oct. 20, 2009. He tied his season-low round of 66 in the first round of the tournament on Monday. Dahlenburg followed that with a 67 in the second round. The Bearcat Golf Classic is the first tournament he won this year and his third top 10 finish. Dahlenburg was also selected as the Peach Belt Conference Men's Golfer of the Week.

He is second on the team in scoring average, 73.7 strokes per round, and has three top five and five top 10 finishes.
