Treva Mason of the women's basketball team was selected as the TraveLynx Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Jan. 8.

Mason averaged 10.0 points and 12.5 rebounds per game as Flagler posted a 1-1 week. She also shot a team-high 50% (7-14) from the field. Of Mason's 25 rebounds last week, 18 came off the offensive glass.

Mason grabbed 20 rebounds in Flagler's 59-57 win over Georgia College last Saturday. That was the most rebounds by a Flagler women's basketball player since Heidi Nissen set the school record with 21 rebounds vs. Edward Waters College back in Feb. 11, 1991.

For the season, she is averaging 5.7 points and a team-high 7.2 rebounds per game.
