John Sgromolo of the baseball team was selected as the Flagler College Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Mar. 21.

Sgromolo led the team with a .500 batting average for the week and also scored a team-high nine runs. He also paced the team with two homers and 16 total bases and tied for the team-high with nine hits. Sgromolo also drew five walks, including three intentional.

Sgromolo went 4-for-6 with a pair of home runs, four runs scored and three runs batted in against Lincoln Memorial. He also went 3-for-4 with a double, three runs scored and an RBI at No. 13 Francis Marion in the second game of a doubleheader on Saturday.

For the season, Sgromolo is leading the team with a .416 bating average and also leads the club with a .597 slugging percentage as well as a .500 on-base percentage.
