Steven Carothers of the men's soccer team earns the Flagler College Player of the Week honors for the period ending Sept. 13.

Carothers scored the eventual game winning goal in Flagler's 2-1 win over Montevallo Saturday night to open Peach Belt Conference play. The victory was also important regionally as Montevallo was ranked No. 10 in the Southeast Region.

The goal was his first of the season and the first of his career for the senior defender from Apopka.
