Flagler College Athletics

Sara Sandberg of the women's soccer team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Oct. 14.

Sandberg scored four goals and tallied one assist to help lead Flagler to a 2-0 week in conference play. On Saturday against No. 13 North Georgia, she scored a pair of goals, which included the equalizer 41 seconds after the Nighthawks scored the first goal, and then she scored the game-winner in the 29th minute. Later, Sandberg assisted on the insurance goal. She also scored a pair of goals in Flagler’s 9-0 rout of Georgia Southwestern.

Sandberg leads the PBC in goals (13) and points (29).
