OAKWOOD, Ga. — The time we have all been waiting for is here: the Peach Belt Conference Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships.
In the tune-up at the University of North Georgia's PBC Preview two weeks ago, the Flagler College men's and women's teams showed up and showed out as each respective squad finished first amongst a handful of conference teams. On Saturday, the Saints will exhaust all efforts in their final race of the fall season on UNG's cross country course in Oakwood, Ga., versus the complete PBC field. The men will start first with an 8K race at 9:30 a.m., followed by the women's 5K race at 10:30 a.m.
There are no spectators allowed at this year's event; however, there are two ways to follow along:

The Flagler women's team, who was selected as the preseason favorite, comes into the championship as the back-to-back PBC champion and three-time (2013, 2018, 2019) winner. Racing to defend its title will be
Malia Cryan,
Allison Horwitch,
Jessie Mescal,
Sam Gayton,
Megan Churchill,
Madison Peele, and
Maria Puccio-Ball.
As for the men, the Saints are looking for their first PBC championship since 2016 and second overall. The contingent of
Marcus Graham,
Justin Greene,
Asad Bashir,
Joel Nesi,
Evan Fuller,
Connor Norton, and
Gavyn Fox will lace up in hopes to trump their runner-up preseason ranking behind top favorite Augusta University, who is ranked No. 4 nationally.
The full championship field will look as such: Augusta, Clayton State University, Columbus State University, Francis Marion University, Georgia Southwestern University (women only), Lander University, University of North Carolina at Pembroke, UNG, University of South Carolina-Aiken, and Young Harris College.
