Nic Whittaker of the men's golf team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Oct. 11.

The Lansing, New York native carded a career-best 211 to finish in a tie for third place at the season-opening Camden Collegiate at the beginning of last week at Camden, South Carolina. For Whittaker, it was his first top-five finish and his third top-10 finish in his brief career. His second round 67 beat his lowest round from last year by two strokes. Whittaker helped lead the Saints to a fourth place finish.
