Kelly Riddick of the softball team was selected as the Flagler College Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Feb. 14.
Riddick has the distinction of being the first Flagler pitcher to toss a no-hitter when she did just that on Feb. 13 vs. Ave Maria. She tossed a complete game (five innings) and walked one batter and fanned 12.
In the first game against Florida Tech on Sunday, she again went five innings, allowed four hits, gave up one earned run and struck out eight in winning her second game of the season.
For the week, Riddick made three appearances, tossed 11.0 innings, gave up four hits, one earned run and fanned 22 while posting a 2-0 record and a 0.64 earned run average.
