Zach Bove of the baseball team was selected as the Flagler College Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Apr. 18. This is Bove's second time receiving this accolade as he earned Player of the Week honors Feb. 28.
Bove batted .632 for the week as he pounded out 12 hits, scored seven runs, collected five doubles, drove in eight runs, tallied 20 total bases and posted a 1.053 slugging percentage - all team team-highs for the Saints this week. He collected a career-high five hits in Flagler's 10-9 loss at Lander in the second game of the doubleheader on Saturday.
For the season, Bove is batting a team-high .396 and also leads the club with 63 hits, 16 doubles, six home runs, 45 runs batted in and a .610 slugging percentage.
