For the second consecutive week, and third time this fall, Sara Davis of the volleyball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Dec 10.
The Akron, Ohio native became just the second Flagler player (Meg Weathersby, 2009) to earn all-national tournament honors after recording 18 kills and hitting .366 in a quarterfinal loss to Rockhurst. Davis was the only player from a non-advancing team in the quarterfinal round to be named to the all-tournament team.
Davis, a senior middle hitter, finished seventh in the nation with a .404 hitting percentage, which is a program record. She also holds the total block and block assist career records.
