ST. AUGUSTINE – Flagler College head volleyball coach Jeff Reynolds announced the addition of Annie Antar to the coaching staff. Antar comes to Flagler after spending the past season as the head coach at the Episcopal School of Jacksonville, where she led the Eagles to a 14-11 season in her first year as head coach. This past season, Antar also coached the 17 Black team at JJVA in Jacksonville.

"We couldn't be more excited to welcome Coach Antar to the program," Reynolds said, "She is one of the bright, young coaches of the future, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome her to St. Augustine. She brings a wealth of volleyball knowledge and experience to the staff. In addition, she is a great person. During the interview process, I was impressed with her high moral character, her integrity, and her work ethic."

In addition to her administrative responsibilities, Reynolds said Antar will serve as the recruiting coordinator and offensive coordinator for the Saints.

Antar, a native of Klein, Texas, played collegiately at the University of North Florida, where she was a four-year starter and team captain for the Ospreys. In 2022, Antar was named the UNF Female Freshman Athlete of the Year. She was a four-year member of the Atlantic Sun Conference's (ASUN) Academic Honor Roll. In her final season at UNF, Antar started all 32 matches and finished ranked 11th nationally with 1,148 assists. She registered a career high 61 assists two different times, including games against Eastern Kentucky University and the University of Central Arkansas. She was credited with 12 double-doubles during her final season.

Out of Klein High School, Antar was the 22nd overall-ranked prospect and the second overall setter according to the 2021 Prep Dig State Rankings. She finished her high school career with over 1500 assists to become the all-time kills leader for the Bearkats. She was a First-Team All-State selection and was named the District 15 Offensive Player of the Year.
