ALBANY, Ga. – The Flagler College men's outdoor track and field team competed at the Annual Alice Coachman Invite hosted by Albany State University on Saturday.
Casey Wood upped his outdoor season personal-best and earned second place with a 15.51m throw. His throw improved his already claimed top spot in the conference.
Jude Daly earned an 8th place finish with a personal-best throw at 13.25m that puts him 9th in the conference.
Wood and Daly made major improvements in their discus performance, pushing their personal-bests by four meters. Wood's throw put him into scoring position for the conference, sitting at 6th place.
Christian McFarlane placed 26th with a time of 11.35 in the 100m, beating his previous personal-best with a .11 second time improvement. He posted an even stronger 200m time at 23.16, shaving .33 seconds off his previous personal-best.
Luke Larkin finished second in the 800m with a time of 1:55.12. His time puts him three seconds ahead of the Peach Belt Conference standard and in 7th place for the conference.
Five Saints competed in the 400m hurdles:
David Stanley,
Reuel Belizaire,
Kruz Jimenez,
Conner Hall and
Aaron Dolton. Stanley and Belizaire both improved their season-bests with Stanley shaving .10 seconds off of his time and Belizaire taking .12 seconds from him. Stanley finished in 8th with a time of 58.47, Belizaire (59.55) in 11th, Jimenez (1:01.11) in 13th, Hall (1:03.46) in 15th and Dolton (1:04.88) in 16th.
In the 400m,
Malik Edwards finished 11th with a time of 51.92 and Ian McGrorty behind him in 13th with a time of 52.27.
The Saints will compete in the Eagles Invite hosted by Embry-Riddle for a last chance meet on April 20 in Daytona Beach, Fla.
