DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Flagler College men's track and field team wrapped up their two day meet at the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Classic yesterday evening, held at the ERAU Track Complex.
Representing Flagler were 16 different Saints across seven different events. Among the competitors were institutions such as Jacksonville University, Nova Southeastern University and Stetson University.
On Saturday the Saints competed in the 100 meter dash which resulted in two personal records.
Collin Norton was the fastest finisher, placing 41st in 11.03. Sam Hummer was the first record breaker, running a 11.09 which landed him in 47th. Freshman
Evan McDowell placed 86th, running a personal record of 11.72. In the 200 meter, Norton ran the fastest mark by the Saints this season, placing 54th in 22.39. The 400 meter's fastest Saint was
Logan Camara who ran a 50.65, landing him. in 23rd.
Kaleb Hollins continued to shine in the 800 meter, running another NCAA Provisional mark in 1:48.53. Not only was that the fastest time in program history, Hollins ran the fifth fastest time in NCAA Division II this season.
The 1500 meter was ran by
Jack Waters and
Romain Biguet. Placing 21st, Waters ran a personal best 4:03.06. Biguet finished narrowly in 22nd, running 4:03.16. In the 5000 meter,
Ben Youngs ran a 16:05.13, putting him in 20th.
Tyson Moraska was the only field representative for the Saints. Throwing the javelin, Moraska placed 15th with a 44.29m mark.
