AUGUSTA, Ga. – Flagler College's George Gilson and CJ Hanson were selected as the Peach Belt Conference's Player and the Pitcher of the Week for the period ending February 15, according to a release by conference officials this afternoon.

Gilson led Flagler with a .579 batting average as he went 11-for-19 last week with three doubles, a triple, and two home runs as the Saints went 3-1. The Jacksonville, Florida native drove in 12 runs and scored an additional eight runs. He had a 1.158 slugging percentage to go along with a .636 on-base percentage. Against Florida Tech last Tuesday, Gilson went 3-for-7 with one triple, four runs batted in, and he scored two runs. In the PBC opener at Columbus State University, he went 3-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, and he scored two runs.

Hanson tossed a complete game shutout in Flagler's 11-0 win at Columbus State last Friday. The Tampa, Florida native scattered four hits and struck out six. Hanson retired the last 14 of 17 batters he faced. Only four base runners in the seven-inning game reached scoring position.
