Saints Open 2026-27 Season at Home on Monday Night

11/6/2026 12:00:00 PM

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The Flagler College men's basketball team opens the 2026-27 season Monday, Nov. 9, when the Saints welcome Florida Tech to Flagler Gymnasium. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m., with the game streaming live on the Peach Belt Conference Sports Network.

Flagler enters the season picked third in the Peach Belt Conference preseason coaches' poll after finishing 18-12 overall and 11-9 in conference play last season. The Saints established themselves as one of the league's top defensive teams in 2025-26, allowing a conference-low 66.8 points per game. Flagler also held opponents to 41 percent shooting from the field and 29 percent from three-point range, both the second-lowest percentages in the conference, while leading the PBC with 27.8 defensive rebounds per game.

The Saints return four key contributors from last year's squad, providing a foundation of experience heading into the new campaign. Tymoteusz Pszczola returns after averaging 8.9 points and 5.2 rebounds per game last season, ranking second on the team in scoring. Camden Andrews also returns after leading the team with 68 assists, while Mason Manning averaged 7.5 points per game. Melvin Teal rounds out the group after appearing in 30 games and averaging 7.4 points and 4.0 rebounds per contest.

Flagler also added several experienced players to its roster this offseason, including a group with proven success at the collegiate level. The Saints' transfer class features a pair of Second Team All-Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) selections in Cooper Davis and Kai Bloom, who each earned the honor last season at their respective institutions. Davis started all 31 games at Ashland, while Bloom ranked second on Lake Erie's team in both scoring and assists.

Will Aljancic brings additional all-conference experience after earning First Team All-G-MAC honors two seasons ago before transferring to Holy Cross last season. Junior transfer Myles Hosten also arrives with an impressive résumé after being named the Freshman of the Year at Edward Waters two seasons ago. Hosten appeared in eight games last season and shot 51 percent from the field. Freshman Sean Barnett is another newcomer to watch as he begins his collegiate career with Flagler.

"This year's team brings a lot of depth and veteran experience," said head coach Blake Selland. "Most of these guys come from winning backgrounds. This team has a lot of maturity, but they must earn it."

With a mix of returning contributors and newcomers who bring experience and postseason accolades, Selland's fifth team will look to build on last season's success as the Saints open the 2026-27 campaign. Following Monday's season opener, Flagler will continue its early-season schedule with two games at the USCB Crossover and then an in-state showdown at Embry-Riddle.
