Karen Hudgins begins her 27th year as Flagler's executive assistant to the director of athletics and her ninhth year as the Senior Woman Administrator. She also serves as the athletics business manager.
Hudgins was inducted as a member of the Flagler Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2024.
In 2016-17, she helped the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee to a Most Improved Award for funds raised for the Make-A-Wish program.
Her duties are performing the day-to-day business and secretarial functions in the athletic department office. Hudgins works in conjunction with the athletic director in managing the budget lines for all 19 athletic teams as well as the Saints Club, Flagler's athletics booster club. She is also responsible for the bus travel arrangements for the athletic teams. Hudgins also handles the gate admissions for designated sports and also coordinates grant-in-aids with coaches and the financial aid department.Â
Hudgins, and her husband, Larry, reside in St. Augustine Beach. They are the proud parents of Krystle and Brian. Â
