AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference has unveiled the 2026-27 Men's Basketball Preseason Coaches' Poll on Tuesday afternoon, and the Flagler College men's basketball team checked in at number three. The Saints garnered 74 points and sit behind Lander (1) and Columbus State (2).
 
"I think preseason rankings it today's game are based on last year's results, and who you have returning," said Flagler head men's basketball coach Blake Selland. "We are thankful to have a great core of returners and hit on the right Flagler transfers. I know the rankings won't win us a game, but we are excited to compete."
 
Flagler is coming off an 18-12 overall record last season, and an 11-9 mark in Peach Belt Conference play. The Saints have eclipsed 15 wins in four of the last five seasons and hold a 48-24 record inside Flagler Gymnasium during that span.
 
Flagler anchored the best defensive unit in the conference last season, allowing a league-low 66.8 points per game. The Saints pressure forced opponents into shooting 41-percent from the field, and 29-percent from behind the arc, which both ranked second in the conference. Flagler minimized second chance opportunities for their opponents by snagging a league-best 27.8 defensive rebounds per game.
 
The Saints return four key standouts from last year's squad. Senior Tymoteusz Pszczola is coming off a junior campaign where he led the team in rebounding and ranked second in scoring. Fellow seniors Camden Andrews and Mason Manning both return as key contributors. Andrews facilitated a team-high 68 assists last season while Manning sat fifth in scoring.
 
The veteran experience will pair with a trio of transfers entering their first seasons in The Ancient City. Cooper Davis joined the Saints after starting all 31 games at Ashland University last season. Davis was named Second Team All-G-MAC and dropped a season-high 36 points on seven triples against Northwood. Kai Bloom, a Second Team All-G-MAC selection at Lake Erie College last season finished second in scoring while leading the team in assists and shooting percentage. Eckerd transfer Brady Patterson joined the Saints after starting 11-of-25 appearances at Eckerd last season. The junior guard shot 37-percent from the floor and poured in a season-high 15 points against Tampa.
 
Flagler announced its 2026-27 schedule last week and the 28 game slate features 15 home games. The Saints will open the new campaign on Monday, November 9^th against Florida Tech at 7:00 p.m. Admission to all home men's basketball games is free for Flagler students, faculty, and staff as well as St. John's county residents with proper identification.
