NEW ORLEANS, La. - For the second consecutive year, the Flagler College women's cross country team came into the season ranked in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) top 30. The Saints claimed the 25th spot, topping last season's entrance at No. 27.
The women came in ranked No. 27 in the FloTrack College XC rankings presented by Hoka.
The Saints are the third team to be featured in the rankings from the Southeast region. Entering the season at No. 3, Wingate University claimed the No. 5 spot in the nation as well as No. 1 in the region. Catawba College was ranked No. 2 in the region, putting them at No. 19 in the nation. Flagler is the only team from the Peach Belt Conference to be ranked.
This poll had the Saints collecting 47 points which put the Saints up 11 from No. 26 Fort Hays State University.
