DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Abigail Misch had a stand out day as she was the lone Flagler College athlete to finish first in her event at the ERAU Eagle Invite Saturday afternoon to kickoff the spring outdoor season.
Misch finished six seconds faster than second place. She finished her 1500 meter run in 4:41.49. In her second race of the day, Misch placed second by .08 seconds in the 800 meter dash, 2:11.47.
The Saints competed against stiff competition in the 11 events the team competed in. Their opposition consisted of schools such as Albany State University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Lynn University, and Florida Tech.
Jessie Gates was the last Saint to get on the podium, placing second in the 5000 meter run in 19:12.81.
Chloe Gilbert cracked the top five in the 5000, placing fourth in 19:21.45. In the 1500 meter run,
Clemence Treguer finished fourth out of 28 in 4:48.67. In her second race, Treguer placed ninth out of 37 in a time of 2:23.44. The freshman squad of
Anna Plum,
Sara Miller,
Tessa Thompson and
Megan Vreeland took on the 4x400, placing fourth in 4:19.32.
