DURHAM, N.C. - At the two day Duke Invitational,
Abby Misch and
Zoie Marchant led the Flagler College women's track and field team to two crucial NCAA Provisional marks.
Flagler's elite competed at a Division I riddled meet which featured teams such as North Carolina State University, Wake Forest University, Boston College and Appalachian State University. Across the meet, six Saints competed in the 800, 1500 and 5000 meter races.
Highlighting the trip was the 800 meter led by Misch. Misch placed 23rd out of 103 runners to run a 2:10.63. This time marked Misch's first NCAA Provisional of the season, placing her as the 24th fastest time. Marchant also ran the 800, placing 32nd in 2:11.72. This time is .47 off of the 38th fastest NCAA DII Provisional mark.
The 1500 saw Marchant crack her first NCAA Provisional mark of her career. Running a 4:28.76, Marchant placed 40th overall and landed her the 25th fastest time in DII.
Clemence Treguer brought in a new personal record during her race, running a 4:37.57.
Hope Siner,
Mallory Robinson and
Hanna Warren all competed in the 5K. Leading the pack was Siner who placed 50th in her 17:45.29. Robinson ran a new personal best 17:53.82 which placed her at 53rd. In 69th place was Warren who ran a 18:25.30.
