NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Flagler College women's track & field team saw two athletes in Abby Misch and Zoie Marchant named U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region last week, according to organization officials.

To earn an All-Region distinction, the athlete must be a top-5 individual in their respective event from their region. The regions used for this award – Atlantic, Central, East, Midwest, South, South Central, Southeast and West – match those used during the cross country season. Across two events, Misch and Marchant earned their distinction in the 800 meter. Marchant earned her second distinction in the 1500 meter.

Marchant is the only Saint across either team to earn this distinction in two events. In the 1500, the Hazlehurst native holds the 43rd fastest time in Division II at 4:28.76. Within the region, Marchant holds the third fastest time. In the 800, Marchant's best time of the season and her career came in at 2:09.51 while competing at the Embry-Riddle Blue & Gold Invite on Apr. 18. This time has landed her the 35th fastest slot in Division II and second in the region. This is Marchant's first and second USTFCCCA All-Region distinction.

For the second time in her career, Misch earned All-Region in the 800. While competing at the Duke Invitational on Apr. 10, Misch ran her season best 2:10.63. With this time, the Olympia native holds the 52nd fastest time in the nation and third fastest in the region. This season, Misch is the only Saint across both the men's and women's team to have been named All-Region in multiple seasons.
