ST. AUGUSTINE – Flagler College head volleyball coach
Jeff Reynolds has announced that
Asima Mulalic has been promoted to full-time assistant coach.
"I had the opportunity to not only observe Asima from the opponent's sideline last season, but also over the past several weeks since coming to Flagler back in February," Reynolds said. "She has impressed me greatly with her work ethic, commitment to Flager and the volleyball program, and for her devotion to our student-athletes. She is a sound tactician and has a solid grasp on what it takes to be a successful volleyball coach."
Mulalic joined the coaching staff at Flagler in 2024 and helped coach the team to a 15-11 overall record, including a 5-3 mark in the Peach Belt Conference, and a conference tournament title. Flagler also made an appearance at the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional. She was involved with planning and coordinating practices, drills, and game strategies. Mulalic helped identify and recruit talented student-athletes and build relationships with high school coaches and potential recruits.
This past January, Mulalic took on the role as a coach for USA Volleyball as the Team Florida Indoors All-Stars. With that team, she was entrusted with leading a successful national boys' travel program and managing all aspects of team preparation and competition. She also has experience coaching with the Jacksonville Junior Volleyball Association 15U and 17U teams.
Mulalic served as the head coach at Creekside High School in St. Johns, Florida after serving as its assistant coach and junior varsity coach. Mulalic graduated cum laude with a bachelor's in psychology from the University of North Florida in 2023. She earned a volleyball scholarship at Saint Leo University and Santa Fe College.
