Coaching at Flagler
Jeff Reynolds begins his first year at the helm of the Flagler volleyball program.
Prior to Flagler
Reynolds has posted a remarkable 84-36 record in his four years leading the Bearcats. This past season, he coached Lander to its first-ever PBC regular season title with a 7-1 record and the team finished with a 22-6 overall record, which included the program’s first sweet 16 appearance. Reynolds was named the PBC Coach of the Year for the second time. In his tenure, he has coached five American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Southeast Region selections, one region freshman of the year, the PBC Player of the Year, the last three freshmen of the year, the last two setters of the year, two libero/defensive specialists of the year, and nine all-conference members. He led the Bearcats to three consecutive NCAA Division II Tournament appearances as well as three consecutive 20-win seasons. Reynolds’ team shattered the school’s record for wins in a season with 28, which was accomplished in 2023. He leaves Lander as the winningest volleyball coach in school history with an overall winning percentage of 70 percent and a winning percentage of 68.8 percent against conference opponents.
Prior to his time in Greenwood, Reynolds was the head coach at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah for five years. The Badgers posted a 131-28 record under his tutelage. He coached the team to three NJCAA National Tournament appearances and three Scenic West Conference titles. He was named the Region 18 Coach of the Year twice as well as the Rocky Mountain District Coach of the Year. Reynolds was named the AVCA West Region Coach of the Year in 2020-21 when Snow was the NJCAA National runners-up. He coached five NJCAA All-Americans, three Region 18 Players of the Year, one Region 18 Defensive Player of the Year, and 32 NJCAA All-Region selections.
Over his career, Reynolds has posted a record of 215-64 (.770), averaging 23.8 victories per season. Reynolds-led teams have won 20 or more matches in eight of the nine seasons he has served as a head coach.
A consistent thread during his times at Lander and Snow are that his teams have excelled in the classroom. In each of his nine years of coaching, the teams have posted a 3.5 grade point average or better, and four of his teams have earned AVCA All-Academic Team awards. The past two seasons, six members of the Lander volleyball program have posted a perfect 4.0 grade-point average.

The couple has a combined 11 children and six grandchildren.
