Snipes and Hunter receive weekly honors from the Peach Belt

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Flagler College's Reese Snipes and Alyssa Hunter were selected as the Peach Belt Conference's Player and Freshman of the Week, respectively, for the period ending March 17, as released by conference officials.

The Port Orange, Florida native batted .600 as she went 6-for-10 with two home runs, six runs batted in, and she scored five runs as Flagler swept a three-game series from USC Beaufort. Snipes finished with a 1.200 slugging percentage and a .600 on-base percentage. In the opener of the series, she went 2-for-4 with a grand slam that gave the Saints a 4-0 lead and Flagler went on to win 6-3. Snipes had an RBI single in the first game of the doubleheader on Saturday and then went 3-for-4 with a solo homer and she scored three runs. Snipes is eighth in the PBC in batting average (.413) and is third in doubles (10).

The Highlands Ranch, Colorado native earned her second consecutive freshman of the week award. Hunter posted a 2-0 record with a 4.20 earned run average in two starts. She is second in the conference in wins (10), sixth in innings pitched (71.1), seventh in opponent batting average (.243), and eighth in ERA (3.14).
