INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - In the consolation bracket of the 2025 ITA Indoor National Championship, Flagler College upset current No. 4 Lynn University 4-0 Saturday morning at the UIndy Tennis Center.
The Saints move up to 3-1 overall while the Fighting Knights dropped to 4-4. Flagler will compete tomorrow for the fifth place match against No. 8 Wingate University at 11 a.m.
The Saints bounce-back from last match started in doubles where
Sofia Balsera and
Adela Latalova got the first win of the day against Mia Garber and Zofia Podbiol, 6-2. No. 21 pairÂ
Dana Heimen and
Anastasia Nikolova took the final win in doubles against Carla Galmiche and Kristen Younes, 6-3, sending the Saints into singles play, 1-0.
Eryka Kruk continued her win streak, earning the first point in singles play against Garber, 6-2, 6-0. No. 47
Laura Jipescu got her first win of the tournament 6-4, 6-3, against Younes. The final point of the match came against the only two ranked players to face each other, No. 5 Heimen and No. 20 Salma Djoubri. Heimen called match in set one 6-4, then took set two, 6-3.
