Destiny McClendon and
Sharale McCormick scored 19 points each in Flagler College's 82-69 loss against Columbus State University in a Peach Belt Conference women's basketball game this evening at the Flagler Gymnasium.

Columbus State advances to 15-6 overall and 9-3 in the PBC. Flagler is now 8-13 overall and 4-8 in conference play. Up next for the Saints is Augusta University on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in the Flagler Gym.

The Lady Cougars had a small lead, 17-14, at the end of the first quarter. Columbus State held its biggest lead of the first half, 41-32, as the teams went to the locker rooms.
Olonna Rawls' layup capped a 9-3 spurt to start the second half and give the Lady Cougars a 50-35 lead.

The Saints chipped away in the fourth quarter and trailed by six (73-67) after
Sharale McCormick sank a three-pointer with 3:42 left.

Aspen Weeks and
Jessica Dowdy came off the bench to score seven points each. Weeks added four rebounds for the Saints.
Se'Lah Reddick corralled a career-high 10 rebounds and tallied five assists.
Carleigh Grimm gathered nine rebounds.

Letiya Reeves scored a game-high 27 points, 21 of them being in the first half, for the Lady Cougars. Rawls earned a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Bre'Lyn Snipes contributed 15 points and five rebounds. Zuzanna Rudenko came off the bench to also score in the double-digits with 10 points.
Columbus State forced 12 Flagler turnovers and converted them into 17 points. The Lady Cougars scored 20 points in transition.
