ST. AUGUSTINE – Flagler College's
Carleigh Grimm,
Emerson Kutz, and
Abby Smith were named to the College Sports Communicators NCAA Division II Academic All-District® Team, according to a release Tuesday afternoon.
Outstanding student-athletes are nominated for Academic All-District® recognition by communications directors and must have a minimum 3.50 GPA and meet high athletic standards. A select group of student-athletes advances to the national ballot where CSC members vote on Academic All-America teams. A Team Member of the Year is selected in each sport and division. An overall Academic All-America of the Year is selected as the top student-athlete across all sports in each NCAA and NAIA division.
Grimm, a senior forward, is a sport management major at Flagler. The St. Clairsville, Ohio native averaged 5.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. She scored a career-high 13 points at Georgia College & State University (Jan. 17, 2026). She is a three-time Peach Belt Conference Presidential Honor Roll scholar, a two-time academic all-conference, and a two-time D2 ADA award recipient.
Kutz, a sophomore guard, is a business major. The Colorado Springs, Colorado native averaged 6.1 points per game and sank 23 three-pointers. Kutz scored a career-best 19 points at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University on Nov. 19, 2025. Last year, she was a PBC Presidential Honor Roll Gold Scholar.
Smith, a sophomore forward, is a strategic communications/public relations major. The Boerne, Texas native averaged 5.3 points and made 83.3 percent of her free throw attempts. She scored a season-high 17 against Florida Tech on Nov. 25 and grabbed a season-high six rebounds twice. Last year, Smith earned PBC Presidential Honor Roll Silver Scholar honors.
