Trevur Smalls came off the bench to lead Flagler College with 16 points and six rebounds in its Peach Belt Conference men's basketball game against No. 20 (NABC Division II Top 25) Columbus State University Monday night at Flagler Gym. Despite Smalls' effort, Columbus State came out on top 78-69.

Columbus State is improved to 19-3 overall and 10-2 in PBC play. Flagler drops to 12-9 overall and evened its conference record to 6-6. The Saints will stay at home for their next game against PBC opponent Augusta University on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
After a
Jaylen Jordon layup cut the Saints deficit to one point (66-65) with 3:40 left, the Cougars went on a 12-4 run to close out the game.
Columbus State's largest lead was only 10 points, but it maintained a lead for 38 minutes and 28 seconds.

Jordon and
Mason Manning both finished with 14 points for the Saints. Jordon grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
Jax Bouknight added eight points, seven assists, and had five steals, which tied his career best.

Jehloni James lead the Cougars with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Jarret Adderton contributed 16 points and five rebounds while Wisdom Uboh added 14 points. Roman Son tallied seven assists.
