ST. AUGUSTINE – Flagler College head softball coach
Kathryn Grant, who begins her ninth year, released the 2026 softball schedule this afternoon.
Of the 52 games the Saints will play this season, 29 of them will be at Flagler Field. They open up at home on Jan. 31 with a doubleheader against Rollins College at 1 p.m.
Eight of Flagler's opponents this season won 30 or more games last year, and six teams played in regionals. The Saints are coming off a 33-22 season where they made a return to the regional tournament for the second year in a row.
The following weekend, the Saints head to Melbourne to face Florida Tech.
Feb. 14-15, Flagler will host its Old Coast Classic, where it will kick off against Chowan University at 11 a.m. and will feature Valdosta State University and Saint Leo University, who was ranked 23
rd in the final 2025 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division II coaches poll.
Feb. 21-22, The saints will head up to Florence, South Carolina, to the Patriot Invitational, where they will face the reigning Conference Carolinas champion, Francis Marion University (10
th NFCA final ranking), and Kutztown University (14
th NFCA final ranking).
The Saints head to Savannah State University for a doubleheader Wednesday, Feb. 25, before hosting a doubleheader Saturday, Feb. 28, against Palm Beach Atlantic University.
Flagler will host Nova Southeastern University to open March for a doubleheader. The Peach Belt Conference series opener is March 7-8 at home against USC Aiken.
The Saints will travel to PBC newcomer Middle Georgia State University in Cochran, Georgia (March 13-14), and have a series at home against Augusta University (March 21-22), sandwiched around a road doubleheader at Saint Leo (March 18). The last home game for March is a doubleheader against Eckerd College on Friday the 27
th.
A series at USC Beaufort closes out March, and the team opens April at home against Georgia College State University.
The Saints will have a single away game against Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (April 8). Two away league series follow at Lander University (April 10-11), and the last regular season road trip to the University of North Georgia (7
th NCAA final ranking) (April 17-18). With the final non-conference home game against Barry University (17
th NCAA final ranking) (April 14) in between.
The last two conference regular season games will be at home against Columbus State University (April 25-26) and the reigning Peach Belt Tournament champion, Georgia Southwestern State University (May 1-2)
The PBC Tournament will be played May 8-10 at the No. 1 seed in a single-elimination format. The NCAA Division II Southeast Regional is set for May 14-16, and the NCAA Division II Super Regional follows May 21-22 in a best-of-three format. The eight-team national championship tournament will be May 28-June 3 at Chattanooga, Tennessee.
