ST. AUGUSTINE – The Flagler College men's soccer team will look to keep its Cinderella run going on Sunday when they take on Rollins College in a NCAA Division II Tournament third round match at noon at Cahall-Sandspur Field at Barker Family Stadium in Winter Park, Florida.

The winner of that match will take on the winner of the Lynn University-Mississippi College match. That national quarterfinal match will be played on Dec. 6.

The Flagler-Rollins match will be streamed live and you can click here to watch it. If you want to be there live, you must purchase your tickets on-line. Please click here for tickets. Ticket prices are: $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, $8 for students with a valid ID, and children 12-years-old and younger are admitted free. No cash or credits will not be accepted.

HOW THEY GOT HERE

Flagler (15-2-6) won the Peach Belt Conference Tournament for the second year in a row and received the No. 8 seed. The Saints have turned in consecutive clean sheets in the tournament with a 2-0 win over No. 9-seed Young Harris College and the same 2-0 outcome over No. 1-seed and host, Palm Beach Atlantic University. Ryan Rivas has six saves in total in the NCAA Tournament. Five of those came in the second-round win over PBA. Rivas has five shutouts in the last eight matches, and his 10 shutouts this season tied the Division II-era program record. Four different Saints have scored goals. Alex Alexandrou converted a penalty kick against Young Harris while Tim Wahlborg, Luke Williams, and Daniel Becerra have scored the other goals. Flagler has gone 10-0-3 since its last loss Oct. 4 at the University of North Georgia.

Rollins (11-4-5) is the No. 5 seed in the super region. The Tars are 6-1-3 in their last 10 matches and boast a 5-1-3 record at home. Rollins has not lost at home since falling 5-1 to the University of West Florida, Sept. 12. The only loss in the Tars' current run was a 6-1 set-back at Lynn in the Sunshine State Conference championship match. Rollins avenged its loss to West Florida by eliminating them from the NCAA Tournament, 2-1, in a second-round match at Pensacola. Pablo Herrero scored the game-winner in the 87th minute.

SERIES HISTORY
Rollins leads the series (since 1994) 13-6-2. The Tars have won the last three-of-four. The two teams have not met since Rollins won 2-1 in St. Augustine, Sept. 18, 2019. Flagler has not won at Rollins since Sept. 24, 1997 when it won 2-1 in double-overtime.
