Last second shot leads Jaguars over Saints

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Quinasia Abercrombie made a short jumper at the buzzer to lead Augusta University to a 70-68 win over Flagler College in a Peach Belt Conference women's basketball game Wednesday night at the Christenberry Fieldhouse.

Augusta improved to 12-3 overall and 4-1 in the Peach Belt. Flagler moved to 6-8 overall and 2-3 in conference play. The Saints head to Morrow, Georgia to face Clayton State University on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

Following a pair of free throws by Flagler's Jazmine Major to tie the game at 68, Laney Noreika drew a charge on Abercrombie who was driving the lane. The Saints called a timeout with 6.3 seconds left and had a chance to win the game. The in-bounds pass was tipped and then stolen by Elyse Autrey.
