Kaleb Hollins of the men's track and field team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending May 5.
Hollins earned Men's Freshman Track Athlete of the Year, Men's Outstanding Track Athlete and Men's Outstanding Track and Field Athlete of the Year as announced at the Peach Belt Conference Track & Field Championship. The Fort Walton Beach, Fla. native, won the 800m in 1:50.25, setting a new PBC Championships and overall conference record with his time. The previous meet and overall record was 1:50.30 set in 2021. His time beat out his previous NCAA provisional mark time and ranks him 19th in the nation and first in the region. He also took first in the 1500m with a time of 3:51.37.
The Saints will head to Cleveland, Tenn. for the Lee Last Chance Meet on May 10.
