CLEVELAND, Tenn. – The Flagler College men's outdoor track and field team sent nine runners to the Lee Last Chance Meet in Cleveland, Tenn. on Saturday.
Kaleb Hollins beat his previous 1500m best time by over a second to hit the NCAA Division II provisional mark once again and finish fifth among 46 runners in the event. His time of 3:45.09 ranks him fourth in the region and 25th in the nation.
Will Stone,
Brandon Knieja and
Logan Burch also ran in the 1500m with Hollins. Stone finished with a time of 3:52.20 to place 16th. Knieja finished 20th with a time of 3:54.42 and Burch in 28th with a time of 3:57.86.
Five runners for the Saints competed in the 5000m in a 60-man field, going up against athletes at multiple different levels.
Joel Nesi was the best finish at 18th with a time of 14:45.21.
Miquel Fons ran in the event for the third time this season and was two seconds behind his best time. He finished in 21st with a time of 14:57.12.
Jon Eide finished right outside the top 25, placing 26th with a time of 15:03.45.
Ethan Tank (15:54.77) and
Adrian Abercrombie (16:02.74) finished inside the top 50 at 44th and 47th, respectively.
The NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championship is set for May 23-25 in Emporia, Kansas.
