MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – The Flagler College men's outdoor track and field team sent a squad up to Mount Olive, N.C. for the Mount Olive First Chance on Friday. Five Saints competed in a mix of events, including the 100m, 200m, 400m, shot put and discus.
In the 100m,
Ryan Sen set a new personal-best with a time of 11.16, finishing 10th in the preliminaries.
Malachi South finished in 12th in the preliminaries with a time of 11.24. They both also ran in the 200m , South finished fifth with a time of 22.04. Sen behind him in seventh with a time of 22.50,
Houston Harper finished 9th with a personal-best time of 22.94.
Logan Camara was the final Saint to finish at 10th with a time of 23.02. Harper and Camara went on to compete in the 400m, finishing third and fourth respectively. Harper finished with a time of 50.38 and Camara with a time of 51.00.
Casey Wood was solo competing in the field events. He placed third in the shot put with a 15.46m throw and sixth in the discus with a 41.12m mark.
The rest of the team is competing in the Lee Last Chance Meet in Cleveland, Tenn. and finished Saturday (May 11).
